7/31/2023 0 Comments Luciana magna graeciaThe food and drinks were very typical for all inclusive so we enjoyed it. We have never visited the main pool as it was always crowded with other guests. The pool was being cleaned every day and apart from a few missing tiles, it was more than enough for us and we always found a sunbed with an umbrella. Not the hotel's fault but if you prefer quiet nights, ask for a room in the main building. If you stay in this building, be prepared for loud nights as the building is not surveilled and the British guests might be throwing parties in the pool area almost every night. The bathroom was pretty worn with a bit of dirt in rusty drains. I just wish the throw blanket on the bed would not look like it has not been washed for at least a month. The room was definitely old-school but it was clean. Our room was situated in the older smaller side building which also had a separate pool. We stayed at this hotel from 25th July until 1st August 2022, we booked all inclusive and since it was on a cheaper side, I had no expectations whatsoever. Buses are very frequent, every 20 minutes to Corfu Town and also a coach that takes you to Paleokastritsa which has an amazing beach! Everyone is very friendly as well and nothing is too much trouble which made us feel very comfortable.… So all in all, a wonderful stay at Magna Graecia, and don’t be put off by the reviews! There are also some lovely restaurants just down the road and a lovely beach about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. However I’m sure if you called the hotel they will have an option that can help because like I said the staff are excellent. So if you are disabled or travelling with somebody who has difficulty transporting themselves, maybe look elsewhere although there is a lift to get to each floor. The downside for some will be the hill the hotel is situated on, it’s a bit of a steep one. The hotel has two bars one next to the pool and one evening time bar, both are very pleasant. The rooms were cleaned daily by the lovely maids, with fresh bedding, a sweep up and fresh towels placed in our room. However, again contrary to other reviews the food was delicious, not once in our week stay did they serve the same food twice, it was always fresh and they had a wide variety too. We booked a week all inclusive and the food was, well the food was exactly what you’d expect from an all inclusive holiday. The pool was clean and had no missing tiles (contrary to other reviews) and the sun beds were plentiful, we managed to get 2 everyday whilst cueing for about 10 minutes. The hotel was in fact very pleasant, with excellent staff a great little shop and really good facilities. Me and my partner was very close to cancelling our holiday after reading of some of the reviews on here however I’m pleased we didn’t.
